Our very own Naomi Watts, who always shines on the red carpet, did not disappoint.   She walked the red carpet at the premiere of Money Monster in a pair of one-of-a-kind Serpenti earrings from Bulgari’s new Mediterranean Eden high jewellery collection.  The design featured a hexagon pattern inspired by the scales of a snake.  To replicate the look, the Audrey Silver Earring  is an affordable option.  Her dress was silver Michael Kors beaded sensation.

By Lou Ella D'Amore

The founder of our Online Jewellery Store loves Australian jewellery designers.  When Maria found out that we buy jewellery online from non-local stores, she stood up and yelled I am going to change that.  You could say she did just that, achieving extraordinary wins within the first twelve months of business.  Her objective was simple to promote and sell Australian Jewellery Designers online from one store.

My jewellery Shop Online Jewellery Nicole Fendel earringsToday we deep dive Nicole Fendel.  Like us, she is located in Melbourne; she grew up in Perth, born in South Africa and moved to Melbourne in 2003. “I was looking for a bit of an adventure and looking for a bigger city with lots of cultures and design,” Nicole say about picking Melbourne as her new home town.

Tips for Travelling with Jewellery

Wednesday, 11 May 2016 7:05:27 PM Australia/Sydney

by Lou Ella D'amore

I don’t know about you but I love the feeling of a pending holiday, packing my suitcase is always fun until I get to jewellery. What to leave behind? What to bring? How to pack it? So many questions

Our first tip doesn't leave your accessory plan to the last minute.

What Jewellery to bring on your holiday

No matter where you’re travelling or for how long, keep in mind a vacation is a break from daily routine.  Our second tip is simple; don’t bring anything you’re going to worry about losing.  I learnt this lesson young at the family beach house my aunt had come over from America and she gifted all us girls the most extraordinary solid gold ring, mine lasted almost two weeks.  I was playing in the ocean as my fingers got water wrinkled it slipped off and even though we searched for hours it was never found.  Safe to say it is best to leave items of great monetary or emotional value at home.  Only bring them if they are a fundamental part of a specific trip.

Tassel Jewellery Trend with These 10 Pieces

Tuesday, 10 May 2016 7:02:27 PM Australia/Sydney

By Lou Ella D'Amore

Tassels tend to be simple in style however you can wear them every day; it’s safe to say they are true classics.  What I love best about this jewellery trend how the designers have interpreted and created truly timeless pieces that work well all year round.

We keep hearing that fashion today is a dose of minimalism, and it may be hard to believe but tassels also can fall into that style.

The Diana pearl lariat although not traditionally a tassel necklace this is perfect for the fashionista wanting to embrace this trend without stepping outside their fashion comfort zone

The Bold Tassel Necklace

Tassels traditionally get associated with bold and powerful statement pieces and the next piece is all that and more…

The JoJo tassel necklace is bright and bold it is the ultimate summer statement necklace and can be worn with confidence.  My jewellery Shop Online Jewellery tassel necklace Mind you after walking down the street with this stunner brace yourself for that Srtanger complement we all love.

When I told my Grandmother I was writing an article on tassel necklaces, she looked at me with a puzzled face. On further investigation I established to her, it was an association with living room curtains.  Not the case anymore. Tassels have a long history; between Roman emperors and contemporary fashion designers, it is safe to say the life a tassel has evolved.

7 Pieces of Jewellery Every Successful Woman Always Has in Her Wardrobe

Monday, 9 May 2016 10:40:57 PM Australia/Sydney

By Lou Ella D'Amore

I started my career in corporate; I was there for many years- I broke all the fashion rules when it came to corporate style.  It often gets downplayed as unimportant—in fact, I’ve even had a manager or two remind me of all the negatives a fashion savvy girl would face.

If you love fashion you don’t have a brain you can't be successful well I’m here to tell you that it is 2016 and fashion-success-and females are on fire. Wearing jewellery in the workplace can be a bit tricky. You can quickly go from sophisticated and classy to costume party. This Blog is here to guide you in the tight direction

In reality, it plays a more serious role than you think. What we wear can dictate our mood, your style. Thinking back to some of the most memorable moments in my life—I can remember I was wearing, in fact, I could tell you what you were wearing too

Let’s start with the fashion basics every woman needs, a well fitting dress you always feel expensive in, a perfectly fitted blazer (I have one in navy, black and white), pointy heels and tailored slacks.  With those basics, you can add accessories to take your look from ultraconservative to on trend.

Let’s talk incorporating jewellery into your look.  Sometimes it can feel hard to look professional but still express who you are as an individual. You can achieve this by throwing a little personality into your outfits with jewellery

The history of jewellery

Saturday, 7 May 2016 11:39:00 AM Australia/Sydney

By Lou Ella D'Amore

When I was asked to write this blog, the first thing I thought of was my late grandmother.  She had some astonishing jewellery which I will one day inherit.  My mother and I have already established that.

I am going to start with some show-and-tell and share this piece with you.  It a solid 18 carat gold chain that she had made for her engagement in the roaring 20’s.  Back then we wore necklaces long. A few decades later she had it cut down and now her daughters both share in this family history.

My Grandmother's Engagement necklace

Jewellery is much more than sentimental made from shells, stone, bones precious metal and stone having survived from prehistoric times. It is likely; then it was worn to protect from the dangers of life or as a mark of status or rank.

Over time, metalworking techniques became more sophisticated and decoration more intricate. I love nothing more than hitting the flea markets every time I go to New York and look for that hidden gem. I always find the best vintage jewellery at those markets

In researching this, I discovered that gold, even though it was rare and a highly valued material, was buried with the dead so as to accompany its owner into the afterlife. Most of the archaeological jewellery comes from tombs

Let's head over to Ireland sometime before 1783; a collar was found in a bog in Shannongrove, Co. Limerick.   We do not know what it was used for, probably a ceremonial collar.  It appeared to have rested on the chest and was held in place by a chain.

How to get Street Style Credibility: The Jewellery Files

Friday, 6 May 2016 10:20:00 AM Australia/Sydney

By Louu Ella D'amore

Street style is a fashion style that is considered to have emerged from the grassroots. It’s that head turning girl you see walking down the street. Associated with youth culture, and is most often seen in the main urban centres worldwide. You’ll find this girl on the streets of New York, London, Japan, Melbourne, Milan, or any capital city around the world.  Mainstream fashion often adopts street fashion trends and as more designers emerge from the grass roots we have seen it hit us from both ends.

When we look back at history, we find that Hippies were the street style of the Bohemian era. Punk fashion was probably the biggest street style movement to date. In fact, all trends are in same way shape or form had street style influence.

Instagram dedicate a hashtag to street style with over 14 million posts; even dogs have embraced this trend with #streetstyledog having over 21- thousand posts.

By Lou Ella D'Amore

Knowing how to wear your necklaces or put together a chain stack for some women can be a daunting task.

A necklace is one of the easiest ways to create depth, contrast and lift your outfit it’s pretty handy for creating new necklines or enhancing your features too.

But it’s more likely that there are two reasons you didn’t wear it. The first is It doesn’t work with your overall wardrobe and the other it doesn’t flatter you.

Both areas you want to avoid not just for the financial aspect. What are your options, how to find the best necklace length for you isn’t that hard when you know the style guide tricks

7 Tips on Buying Earrings to Wear at Work

7 Tips on Buying Earrings to Wear at Work

By Lou Ella D'Amore

We have written on this topic before. We all know that dressing right in a professionally setting is an important part of achieving career success.
Presentation DOES count!

Earrings are one way that you can enjoy fashion in the workplace and still maintaining a professional appearance. We are going to give you a few tips on the right ones

There are some things women should keep in mind when looking for the perfect pair of earrings. We will show you how to maintain a professional and polished appearance.

1. Avoid Long Earrings

Don’t get me wrong I love the new thread earring that is in vogue right now, however, and it may not work in all environments. They can be distracting, to you, and for co-workers. Longer earrings are also dangerous in some professions.

Some larger earrings that dangle can also be loud. You know that jingle jangle noise whenever you move. A shorter pair of earrings is often best. This does not mean you are giving up bling at the office; the Madelyn is one of best sellers ($70.00) as it can be worn to work, for drink and dress up an evening dress too. A simple pearl or stud earring is also a good staple to wardrobe. Buy earrings that can transcend from office to playtime; they do exist.
