Our coverage in today's jewellery blog is the best Cannes Film Festival gems.   The stars who have ruled the red carpet in recent days have us jewellery lovers wanting more and of course asking how I can incorporate that into my everyday life.

As the film premieres and parties at Cannes continued so does the onslaught of ever more glamorous red carpet jewellery.

Our very own Naomi Watts, who always shines on the red carpet, did not disappoint.   She walked the red carpet at the premiere of Money Monster in a pair of one-of-a-kind Serpenti earrings from Bulgari’s new Mediterranean Eden high jewellery collection.  The design featured a hexagon pattern inspired by the scales of a snake.  To replicate the look, the Audrey Silver Earring  is an affordable option.  Her dress was silver Michael Kors beaded sensation.

Her next red carpet outing she had on the most astounding statement necklace. She attended the L”Oreal Blue Obsession Party. Wearing Armani in a figure hugging flat fold pleated dress, her jewels again from Bulgari

Another red carpet regular who never disappoints is Amal Clooney, who stepped out to support her husband George Clooney, who plays the male lead in Money Monster.  Although she struggled to control her thigh-split dress in the wind. The human rights lawyer looked as stunning as ever in a pale yellow Atelier Versace gown which she accessorised with a pair of Cartier coral earrings and bracelet from its Étourdissant high jewellery collection.

The most controversial red carpet accessory award would have to go to George Clooney’s co-star Julia Roberts; who ditched the heels and went barefoot on the Cannes red carpet.  Believed to be a protest against the film festival’s strict dress code. Her 52.76ct pear-shaped emerald necklace by Chopard jewellery meant I didn't even notice her feet!

1920s Hollywood glamour jewellery was also popular this year.  American actress Jessica Chastain used her jewels to continue her sparkle from the beaded dress by Alexander McQueen, by teaming it with a white gold and diamond Extremely Piaget sautoir and a Sunny Side of Life yellow diamond ring. Piaget Instagram has a close up of the necklace and it is out of this world.

Chopard is one of the main sponsors so obviously, it was the choice for many stars, including fashion blogger Nicole Warne, aka Gary Pepper Girl, who wore a pair of Chopard emerald and diamond earrings this was our favourite.
